Does Domino's Take EBT? Restaurant Meals Program Rules, Locations, and Other Options

Does Domino's take EBT at most locations?

No. Domino's sells hot pizza, wings, and sides made to eat right away. USDA's list of what SNAP can buy says households cannot use SNAP on foods that are hot at the point of sale. That rule applies whether you eat in, carry out, or take the food home. So for most SNAP households, Domino's is not an option for SNAP benefits.

Domino's also has no company-wide EBT policy that we could find. Nearly all Domino's stores are run by independent franchise owners, and each store that takes part in a state program signs up on its own. That is why one Domino's may accept EBT while another a few miles away does not. Be careful with any website or social post that says "Domino's takes EBT" without naming a state and a specific store. It is not true as a general rule.

How the Restaurant Meals Program works

The SNAP Restaurant Meals Program is a state option. It lets certain SNAP households who may not be able to cook, or who have no place to store and prepare food, buy prepared meals at approved restaurants. Three things have to line up before you can use SNAP at a Domino's:

1. Your state runs an RMP. USDA's page lists Arizona, California, Illinois (Cook and Franklin counties only), Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, Rhode Island, and Virginia. Some states limit the program to certain areas.
2. Your household qualifies. Every member must be 60 or older, receive disability or blindness payments, or be homeless. A spouse of an eligible person also counts.
3. The specific Domino's is approved. The restaurant needs state approval, a signed agreement, and USDA authorization to accept SNAP.

The restaurant does not have to check your age or disability. USDA explains that the state codes eligible EBT cards so they work at participating restaurants. If your card is not coded for the RMP, it is declined automatically. If you think you qualify but your card is not working, call your state SNAP agency and ask whether your case is set up for the Restaurant Meals Program.

Domino's on California's RMP list

California runs the largest Restaurant Meals Program, and its state agency publishes a downloadable list of every participating restaurant. The CalFresh RMP page says the program has been statewide since September 2021, and eligible households can use any participating restaurant in the state, not only in their home county.

When we downloaded California's restaurant list on October 29, 2026, it had about 6,400 restaurant entries. About 145 of them were Domino's locations. Most were in Southern California and the Sacramento area:

These counts are our own tally of a list that changes as restaurants join or leave. Treat them as a snapshot, and always confirm with the store. Other RMP states keep their own lists, and their size and format vary. Ask your state's RMP contact, listed on USDA's RMP page, for the current list where you live.

Checking the Domino's near you

There is no "EBT" filter in the Domino's store locator. These steps work better:

• Check your state's official RMP list if you live in one of the nine states. In California, open the county list or map on the CalFresh RMP page.
• Look for a sign in the window. California asks participating restaurants to post a CalFresh RMP sign.
• Call the store and ask, "Do you accept EBT through the Restaurant Meals Program?" Ask whether that works for carryout only or also for delivery.
• Use USDA's SNAP retailer locator as a backup. It shows authorized SNAP retailers, though restaurant listings may not always be complete.

Online orders, the app, and delivery apps

You cannot pay for a Domino's online or app order with SNAP. When we checked USDA's state-by-state list of online SNAP retailers on October 29, 2026, Domino's did not appear in any state. Online SNAP is limited to approved grocery retailers.

The same goes for third-party delivery apps. Some apps let you use SNAP at participating grocery stores, but not for restaurant food. If you are RMP-eligible and your local Domino's is approved, plan on paying with your card and PIN at the store. Ask the store whether it can take EBT at the door for delivery; some stores may not have a portable EBT terminal.

EBT cash benefits at Domino's

Some EBT cards carry a separate cash balance from programs like TANF. Cash benefits are not limited to food, so you can spend them anywhere that accepts EBT cash. The catch is that many Domino's stores do not have EBT terminals at all. Call ahead. Another option is to withdraw EBT cash at an ATM and pay in cash, though ATM fees may apply and some states limit withdrawals at certain businesses.

Sides, drinks, and state soda rules

At an RMP-approved Domino's, SNAP pays for food on the menu, such as pizza, wings, sandwiches, and bread sides. Delivery fees, tips, and gift cards are not food and need another payment method.

Drinks are where rules can change. A growing number of states have USDA approval to stop SNAP from buying soda, energy drinks, or candy. USDA's food restriction waiver page listed about two dozen approved states when we checked, and a June 2026 court order halted four of them. Among RMP states, Virginia's waiver restricting sweetened beverages has a target start date of November 1, 2026. If you live in Virginia, a 2-liter soda added to an RMP order may be declined and moved to another payment. The waiver list keeps changing, so check your state SNAP agency's site for current rules.

Pizza you can buy with SNAP

If your Domino's does not take EBT, you can still have pizza night with SNAP. The key is that the food must be cold or frozen when you buy it.

Other low-cost and free meal options

If you need a hot meal and cannot cook, there are other places to turn:

• Older adults can ask the Eldercare Locator about senior dining sites and home-delivered meals in their area.
• Anyone can dial or visit 211 to find food pantries, soup kitchens, and community meals.

If you are not on SNAP yet, check the federal eligibility rules. From October 2026 through September 2027, the federal gross monthly income limit for one person is $1,729 (some states set a higher limit), and the maximum benefit for one person is $306 a month.

Using EBT at Domino's, step by step

1. Confirm your state runs an RMP on USDA's Restaurant Meals Program page.
2. Confirm your household qualifies: everyone 60 or older, disabled, homeless, or a spouse of someone who is.
3. Find an approved Domino's on your state's RMP list, or call the store and ask.
4. Order in person or by phone for carryout, and ask whether the store can take EBT on delivery.
5. Swipe your EBT card and enter your PIN at the store.
6. Pay fees, tips, and any declined items with cash or another card.
