Information you provide
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to respond and maintain correspondence. We do not add you to marketing lists.
Tool and calculator inputs
Inputs to our interactive tools (household size, income figures, situation selections, and similar) are processed locally in your browser using JavaScript. They are not sent to our servers, not stored after you leave the page, and not shared with anyone.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and our analytics tools (Google Analytics, Ahrefs Web Analytics, and Cloudflare Web Analytics) may automatically collect standard technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring pages, and timestamps. We use this in aggregate to understand site performance and improve content. What you type into our tools and calculators is never sent to these services.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies for basic site security and for Google Analytics. Ahrefs and Cloudflare analytics do not use cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details and opt-out options.
Third-party advertising
This site is supported by advertising and labeled sponsored partner links. Third-party advertising companies and their technology partners may serve ads on the Site. To choose and measure ads, they may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and how you interact with ads. They may use this information to show ads that relate to your interests, on this Site and on other websites. We do not control these technologies, and each partner's use of them is governed by its own privacy policy.
We do not give advertisers your name, email address, or anything you type into our tools.
You can opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies at YourAdChoices (DAA) and the Network Advertising Initiative, or through your browser and device ad settings. Opting out does not stop ads; it means the ads you see are less likely to be based on your interests.
3. How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site;
- To respond to messages you send us;
- To measure aggregate traffic and content performance;
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We do not run our own lead-generation forms or pass your details to anyone. Some labeled sponsored partners do run their own forms: if you fill one in on the partner's site, your details go to that partner under its privacy policy, and it may contact you, including by marketing calls, texts, or emails.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and the Site is not directed to children.
5. Third-party websites
Our Site links to third-party websites, including labeled sponsored partners. If you click through and provide information to a third party, that party's privacy policy — not ours — governs what happens to it. We encourage you to read a site's privacy policy before submitting personal information anywhere.
6. Data retention and security
We retain email correspondence only as long as needed to handle it. Automatically collected technical data is retained per our hosting and analytics providers' standard schedules. We use reasonable technical measures (including HTTPS) to protect the Site, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of certain processing. Because we collect so little, most requests are simple to honor. To make a request, email support@nationalreliefprogram.org with the subject "Privacy Request." We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
U.S. state privacy rights (including California). Some state laws treat the use of advertising cookies for interest-based ads as "sharing" or "targeted advertising." We do not sell your personal information for money. To opt out of interest-based advertising on this Site, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, use the opt-out tools listed in section 2, or email us with the subject "Opt-out of targeted advertising."
8. Do Not Track and opt-out signals
Where our tools recognize browser-based opt-out signals (such as Global Privacy Control), we honor them to the extent required by applicable law.
